For at least four years I have been friends with Sha via email. She was always a huge supporter of Give ‘n Take and we’d network online and exchange the latest events with one another. She launched her woman’s network, Real Sisters Rising back in April of 2003.

I finally had the pleasure to meet her in the ‘flesh’ at the Unlock Your Dream Conference this summer in NYC. She’s a social networking diva and knows the power of making connections. Find out all about Sha and learn why she LOVES what she does!

What’s Your Business Name?: Real Sisters Rising “Womens Networking & Social Organization” and our slogan is “Helping women find the Diamond in their Destiny”

Main service/product?: Our main services we provide are Teleclasses and Conference Calls. We also have monthly networking events to assist our members in building their business.

What does your business do? We encourage our members to grow personally by providing them with opportunities to learn from other women who may have been in their shoes once before. One of our monthly networking events is called RSR Marketing Revue. It’s a Business to Business Marketing event.

Any interesting fact(s) you can share about your industry?
Yes, their are women organizations forming every minute of the day. If you decide you are going to form an organization of any kind, please find your niche. With RSR, we reach to build personal & professional relationships. Our 60 Day Commitment Call has been phenomenal. We had 20 women who on a weekly basis share their business and personal goals. As a team we encourage each other to take it to the next level. On our calls we also share resources and tips.

Most popular problem you help people solve? A lot of our members have a fear success. I just share my story with them and maybe a few other members share a word or two of advice, with a little motivation, these awesome ladies will be well on there way.

What year did you kiss Corporate America goodbye and why do you hope to never go back? Well honestly, I never really worked with corporate America much in my life. I have always been an entrepreneur! Although, I know I do not want to ever work for someone who will take up more than 10 hours of my day including traveling and who dictates to me when I can eat lunch or when I can go to my children’s school play.

How do you stay motivated? What drives you? Whew great question. My motivation is my children, Destiny and Diamond. I am building an empire for my children to have a successful and solid path to walk.

What’s a bold move you took that turned your business around?
Well back in 2007 I offered FREE memberships for two months. So many women joined RSR during this time. With word of mouth promotion, more women starting joining even once the promotion was over.


What’s a unique talent that you have that might surprise us?
I went to school to learn how to build computers and repair them.

Have you used Social Networking to gain new contacts/business? If so, what have been any results?
Social Networking has been the main source of me gaining new contacts and members into RSR.

Most exciting moment that you got your time to shine?
The most exciting moment was when I was featured in the Daily News in April 2008 in The Money Section. Whooo Hooo that was so unbelievable. It took me a few days to realize how big that was.
