This week, OWN YOUR POWER, COMMUNICATIONS would  like to show our support to Mari Gauthier, founder of  G.R.A.B., Inc. (Girls Receiving Abundant Blessings). Through her works Mari became the voice and light for at risk and under privelledged girls and young women. She shares her story being authentic and transparent with young women letting them know that they too can become successful women. No matter what struggles, pain, and neglect they have experienced they can overcome and become great women.

Since 1999, Mari has been meeting with young women speaking on topics such as self-esteem, peer pressure, the importance of abstinence and more. She speaks at different schools, colleges/universities, churches, community events, youth workshops and events, nationally and internationally.
Today, G.R.A.B, Inc now has two office locations serving girls and young women. G.R.A.B, Inc Atlanta, GA headquarters and G.R.A.B, Inc resource center in Miami, FL.

Mari’s daily words of affirmation to herself is “I Am Great! Great Things Are Destined To Happen For Me Because I Am Great”!

Help out this great cause with their Back to School even that will help girls in school from Pre-k to 12th grade!

There are mothers in our community that don’t know how their going to send their baby girl to school this year; there is a young lady whose parent/guardian not able or willing to help them with their basic school needs; there is a teen mom still in school trying to make it to graduation despite of her challenges, but this Fall she and the rest of them may have to whatever it takes to just get uniforms and supplies.

Mari knows what it’s like in all three scenarios and many of you can say the same thing!

“Join GRAB, Inc next Friday, June 22nd, 2012 @ 6:30pm with your small donation of just $25.00. Your $25.00 donation can help provide 2 school uniforms, undergarments, personal care products, a book bag and more to one girl for the 2012-2013 school year. We want to help 200 girls from our community and orphan girls in Haiti! Together we can decrease the risk of mischievous and promiscuous activities that can lead to more problems like STD’s, teen pregnancy, violence and criminal activities among girls!

You spend $25 plus dollars on yourself for hair, nails, lunch, etc. Why not donate to $25.00 to help girls from Pre-k to 12th grade have all they need for school this fall We can do it together as a community, as a human race!
