So, I’m must say I’m making some progress on getting my fitness groove back. ~The crowd roars~ It’s week two since I started my own fitness challenge and I’m down two inches and 4lbs! Who knew I’d get results that quick? I didn’t do anything drastic, but exercise more than my lazy two times a week that I was doing. I say lazy, because I was in the steam room most of that time then really working it out like I used to. I doubled it up with four times a week and drank loads more water. I’m trying to get to gallon a day again. I’m glad to be back on track. Now that I’ve started exercising again I feel energized and can’t wait until the next time.
I’ve been enjoying long vigorous nature walks in the park, in addition to my new fitness routine in the gym and with my trainer. You’ll get a peek of it below!
This week my work out will include a mix of yoga DVD (Essence of Flow Vol. 1) , cardio, and my most favorite of all Abs! Who Hoo..If I say it enough maybe I’ll believe it. LOL
Here’s this week’s tips from my trainer Justice.
“The key to a good work out is good preparation. Proper footwear is the first step. Any foot apparel store can link your exercise to the appropriate footwear.
Comfortable clothing is the next step. I know it is hard, but think from before fashion. Nowadays you can get fashionable clothing that is cute and functional.
Most seasoned fitness persons will stretch/warm up for at least 15 minutes before a work out.” Justice

Hey, I know it’s hard to stay on a fitness routine consistently, but when trying to stay fit you need to surround yourself with positive and motivated people. Leave your friends at Cinnabon and McDonalds this time around and join us, so that we can keep each other motivated!
I hate to even admit this, but I actually coined the term, “Cinnabon Runs.”
When I lived in NY, my girls and I would go for a “Cinnabon Run” after a stressful day, chat it up there, and stuff our faces. It’s been a few years since Cinnabons have tasted good to me though. Now its tooooo sweet. I’ve made a slow shift towards eating better and I guess my taste buds aren’t as sugar-starved as they used to be when I was addicted to Cocoa Krispies and Cinnabons. Now, I not gonna lie, I‘m still working on Starbucks. I only went ONCE last week, so that’s an improvement! LOL I look forward to the steam room now as stress reliever, no longer Cinnabon runs. I know they say its not realistic to go cold turkey, so I’m trying, I really am!
You can’t do it alone and neither can I. I appreciate you all. Let’s do it together people!

Summertime is usually a downtime for business but you
shouldn’t stop networking. Take advantage of this quiet
period to be creative and network in a different way by
reactivating your contacts.
Since there are less events and people have more free time,
use this opportunity to invite people for a social happy
hour or join groups that you never joined before. It’s a
good time to explore new opportunities to meet new people in
new environments for new leads.
One of my favorite places to invite people for a summer
cocktail when I was in New York was the Terrace at the
Metropolitan Museum. With its great view and ambiance,
it’s a great place to reactivate your connections. If you
play golf, tennis or run in the park, invite people to join
you. If you attend free concerts in Central Park invite a
group of people and introduce them to each other. Have your
own party or plan outdoor events or organize “Me Time”
at the spa. These are some of the creative ways to take
advantage of the relaxed pace of summer and connect /
reconnect with your old contacts, prospects or clients.
Very often social meetings will lead to business contacts
because everyone, for once, won’t try to sell anything.
Remember that everything doesn’t have to be about you or
your business and it’s more important to be memorable and
give the right impression. When you invite people
unexpectedly and don’t try to sell them anything but
instead, ask them how you can help them, the return on your
networking time will be ten times more efficient.
A good networker is a good listener, so LISTEN and take
mental notes to find out how you can help others (then write
your notes down to use them later to follow-up). Do they
need a specific contact or resource? Is their birthday or
their kids’ birthday coming up, take note of the date.
What if somebody mentions that his birthday is in two weeks,
and two weeks later he receives a birthday card from you,
this is one of the various opportunities to follow up.
They’ll be impressed you’ll be number one on their list
when they need your service or have a referral for you.
In addition to attending events and parties, summertime is a
great period to track and check up on what happened since
the beginning of the year. How many events you attended, how
many business cards you collected, how many follow-up
meetings you scheduled, and how many new clients you got
from your networking efforts.
Take this opportunity to organize and update your database,
formally enter your contacts on software’s like Act or
Outlook, and set up a concrete follow-up system. Send a note
card to say “hello” or “happy summer” or to invite
them for a drink or to your party. Send postcard mailings
with a marketing message, run a special offer or send a
coupon or a special discount. Re-activate your contacts in
one way or another but do it now! September it will be too
late, everybody will be busy again and you’ll go back to
your routine.
Need help to reconnect with your contacts and or set-up your
follow-up system? Just give me two hours, and I will reveal
10 simple ways to reactivate your contacts so you can get
tons of new clients by September.
Schedule your session to reactivate your network during the
summer NOW

Feel the Burn!
I recently took some photos the other day and was a bit surprised at what I saw. Okay, I know…I’m not obese, but I’m not skinny either. However, what I saw was a bit plumper than I remembered seeing in the mirror recently. I thought, oh, photos make you look fatter, right? LOL To confirm my suspicions, I got on the scale and was surprised that I did put on about 6lbs that I have no idea where the hell they came from. ~Looking behind me~ They snuck up on me. Then I measured myself, you know muscle weights more than fat, but nope, I put on two inches in two areas that surprised me. Totally snuck up on me, since my jeans have been fitting just fine!
Okay, okay…so I DO KNOW where they came from. I was getting in shape for a while, working out, eating right, feeling good, and looking good. Well, I got cocky with it.
“Oh, this bowl of Frosted Flakes ain’t gonna hurt me.”
“Oh, I can have a treat at Starbucks once in a while. I don’t do anything bad, so it’s not a big deal!”
It probably wouldn’t be the end of the world, but if you are gonna cheat on eating you better have your butt in the gym. Well, my visits to the gym were less frequent. I was too tired or too busy. I simply got lazy with my routine and within a matter of three months of slipping, there goes my new friends coming to visit and stick onto me for a while. Bobby Back Fat and Lucy Love Handles. I know the visual is beautiful ain’t it. LOL
Well, if you are in the same boat as me, you’re probably fed up or shall I say, disgusted with yourself and ready to get started again. I have a certain weight (which I will not disclose here) LOL that once I get close to it I JUMP INTO ACTION. I just feel it’s UNACCEPTABLE TO GET CLOSE TO IT. I know what works for me, someone cracking the whip.
So, I called up my good buddy Justice, who is a trainer and one of my favorite photographers to help his girl, Simone out. This past Saturday, we started a weekly deal, where I’ll coach him on his businesses and he’ll train me and hold me accountable each week. We can only meet on Saturdays due to our schedules, but he gave me a work out plan and I have to report in when I do it. Accountability guys, that’s what it really comes down to!
That’s why I am putting myself out there, so you ALL can hold me accountable. No pressure. As a matter of fact, we are starting a FITNESS club in my social network where we can report in our progress each week, called the JustBee Healthy Fitness Challenge. My trainer, Justice is going to offer a tip each week and I’ll show you some workout moves as well.
I’m getting my FITNESS GROOVE BACK BABY…ARE YOU WITH ME? I’m about to go for a walk right now…I’m fired up and ready to get cracking ?
Just Bee Healthy Fitness Weekly Tip from Justice: A good first step to getting started with a workout routine is to start small. Start with walking, light or no weights. In some case just stretching for 10 to 15 minutes is a great way to get in the mood and create a habit of working out.
Interest in Training with Justice? Give him a call at 216-849-2882. Maybe he’ll go easier on my next time if I send him some business. LOL
