The CEO and visionary behind the Own Your Power movement is Simone Kelly-Brown. She’s passionate about personal empowerment and encouraging many to own their OWN businesses and to pursue a holistic lifestyle. Simone has reached thousands with her advice and uses her talents best with various forms of media: as an author, speaker, coach, and radio show personality. While getting the word out there about her brand and building her network, Simone knew networking was an essential strategy she needed to take advantage of. With her passion of bringing people together and helping others, she launched The Give 'n Take Network in 2002 as a networking event in NYC. It soon flourished into other locations such as NJ, DC, Westchester, Miami, and Atlanta. Now, it's one of the main events people look forward to each year at the Own Your Power Retreat. Most importantly, Give 'n Take has also expanded to a online barter exchange with over 40, 000 merchants who save thousands a year by bartering.
In her quest to find balance and show others how to live a holstic life, she developed the Own Your Power Lifestyle Center in November '08 in Hollywood, Florida. The OYPLC will empower you with the tools to nourish your mind with educational workshops, feed and heal your body with yoga and natural remedies, and soothe your soul with energy-balancing and focused meditations. Simone grew to love the effects of energy balancing on her life and became certified as a Reiki-Master Teacher so that she could incorporate new wellness services at the lifestyle center. She has received extensive training from mentors, Johane Rutledge of The Johane Rutledge School of Intuition, Dana-Smith Rogers of Spiritual Essence Yoga & Wellness Studio and Rohi Custage of Energy of Breath Institute. Simone is an avid writer and is featured in numerous locations online and off. Currently, she is the business editor for WE magazine for Women ( International Digital Business & Lifestyle Magazine). As well as a featured blogger on The Bloom Effect.com, Hellobeautiful.com, Blackplanet.com, expert on Ezinearticles.com, and a contributing writer to Moxxi Magazine and Mahogany Butterfly.com. Ever since she was a child, she’s had a vivid imagination and creativity that stood out in all that she did. Her first passion was writing and even now, in her spare time, she enjoys writing works of contemporary fiction. Her first fiction book is now available online called, At Second Glance. It’s a saucy, funny, and sexy read and Simone jokingly warns, “This ain’t no marketing book!”
Simone and her co-host and right-hand buddy, journalist Nikki Clifton, brings a dynamic energy to business radio that encourages others to really get out their and OWN THEIR POWER and have a lot of fun while you do it!

The experienced author enjoys writing her Own Your Power blog and ezine which provides proven insights and tips from highly respected professionals and entrepreneurs. These tips have included items such as implementing a direct marketing program, how to create more focus and balance, and developing better business and personal relationships. Her passion to help others with these tips lead her to write her first book, "Jack of All Trades, Master of None?"
Launched in March of 2007, the Own Your Power Radio show was created as a spin-off of the Own Your Power Newsletter with topics based on personal empowerment and entreprenuarship. First featured on South Florida’s 1080am, the show quickly gained a family of loyal followers who tuned in weekly all across the world online. Fans call in from all across America and as far as England and the Bahamas.
