Power Player Feature: Rese Carter

Describe your business

Rese Carter Lifestyles offers personalized nutrition services for women who are experiencing hormonal issues. Our first step is a comprehensive health assessment. Our integrative approach includes functional lab testing and other tests where applicable. We examine not just your nutrition but also sleep, stress and lifestyle, our plan incorporates all areas to help in balance restoration.  Some of symptoms associated with hormonal imbalance are low energy, extreme moods, brain fog (forgetfulness), fatigue, irregular cycles, polycystic ovarian syndrome (pcos), insulin resistance, low libido, difficulty losing weight.

What inspired you to start it?

Prior to becoming a Certified Nutritionist Specialist, I worked as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach; Many of my clients would exhibit signs and symptoms of hormonal issues which was outside of my scope of practice to address, so I decided I would do something about it.  I went back to school and did a deep dive, completing a Master of Science in Nutrition and Integrative Health.

What have been some of the challenges?

Getting women to realize that it’s easier to invest in their health before getting a chronic diagnosis. Helping persons to shift their mindset that nutrition is not a one size fit all, and instead must be personalized.

What skills have you used to pull it all together?

I am curious by nature and very creative. Using my science-based training and putting a creative spin to translate the technical information to help others. Don’t believe? Just check out my Insta @coachrese

What are main keys to being successful in business?

Being consistent is key, planning and sticking to the plan but also being open to change course when things shift. Remain open to your client’s feedback and giving them not just a service but an exceptional experience that is etched in their minds.

Favorite Me Time Escape?

I enjoy riding my bike in the forest. I start my day with a 10 -20-mile ride. I also love to journal and being still (meditation) for a moment in my day.

What would you like your legacy to be? How do you want to be remembered?

The impact that I had in helping others to become the best version of themselves.

Any words of advice for anyone getting into your industry?

Yes, ensure that you truly love to help others because it requires genuine compassion and empathy.
