What product do you make?
Zhavea Collection Hair Growth Products is an all organic products that can be used on all hair types and textures.

What inspired you to start it?

As a performing, recording artist, my hair goes through constant harsh styling.  Regular coloring, heat and styling products can take a toll on anyone’s hair.  While on set in Jamaica filming my music video ‘Gimmie that love feat Beenie Man,” my hair stylist had accidentally douse my hair with a bottle of Isopropyl alcohol instead of water.   I had a large performance coming up and needed my hair to be in tip top shape. All attempts was made to rinse the alcohol from my hair, however, my hair needed to be shampooed in order to neutralize the harsh compound. But there was no time. My hair was gravely damaged and had started to break.

A few months later, my thick golden curls had gone from 28″ to 18.”  I was devastated. My hair was a big part of my image.  I tried tons of store bought hair growth products, but nothing worked. My mother then told me that growing up in the Caribbean the hot humid weather was hard on everyone’s hair.   A natural oil was regularly used by the locals to soothe the hair; and stimulate hair growth.  Hair however needs to be regularly nourished from the scalp to the ends to stop breakage and promote strong, fast, healthy growth. I created a hair serum that I  started using, by blending the oil my mother told me about along with other natural oils extracted from Caribbean plants, roots and tree barks.  In no time my hair had become healthier and had started to grow like mad.  Seeing the amazing results the serum had done for my hair, it has inspired me to share it with the world and help others.

What have been some of the challenges?

My biggest challenge was definitely my logo design.  I designed the logo by myself. Being the perfectionist that I am, I must of redesigned my logo at least 20 times. However, after much trial and error I finally designed a logo that I was happy to share with the world.

What skills have you used to put it all together?

I had to do a lot of research and testing on different natural oils that I could incorporate with the natural oil my mother had told me about. After sometime I came up with the perfect ingredients that began to grow my hair like crazy.

What are the main keys to being successful in business?

Consistency, dedication, and passion.

Favorite me time escape?

I love going to the beach, traveling, bike riding, amusement parks , game nights with friend  or just simply staying home having movies nights.

What would you like your legacy to be ? How do you want to be remembered?

I want to inspire others and help people change their lives whether it’s through my music or my business. I love to bring joy and happiness to others.

Any words of advice for anyone getting into your industry?

Don’t give up even when things are tough. Be consistent and believe in yourself.
